Good Monday Morning!

We are in the beginning of another week. HS'ing to commence again soon. Life is still slowly getting back to normal. I called the parents yesterday to remind them of Keenan's birthday party. Hard to believe my "baby" is going to be 2 soon. Hopefully we won't have an ice storm on his party day like we did last year!

On another note, I have decided to put my knowledge (little as that might be) and start a Yahoo group. If anyone would like to be put on my mailing list for a newsletter I plan on doing, the site is: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TheHomemakingExperience/

It is tips for homemaking, organising, homeschooling, etc, etc. Just whatever I feel like putting in it each day. How to's, recipes, lots of neat stuff. I have (hopefully) set it up to where it is read-only, you just sign up and choose how you'd like to rec'v the emails. Even if you don't HS you can still join. Like I said it is a plethera of categories and info.

And last but not least, one of my fave verses of the Bible (which I have also added to the message for today in the yahoo group). One I try so hard to adhere to: 1 Thessalonians 5:12-18
But we request of you, brethren, that you appreciate those who diligently labor among you, and have charge over you in the Lord and give you instruction, 13 and that you esteem them very highly in love because of their work. Live in peace with one another. 14 We urge you, brethren, admonish the unruly, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with everyone. 15 See that no one repays another with evil for evil, but always seek after that which is good for one another and for all people. 16 Rejoice always; 17 pray without ceasing; 18 in everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.

The much requested COUPON BINDER! A how-to pictorial

First you start with a LARGE 3-ring binder . I was able to get about a dozen of these for 50-75¢ each at a thrift shoppe, brand new. Mine are from a business complete with logo, but that's ok. 50-75¢ sure beats 8 bucks at Wal-mart. Plus mine DOES have a front pocket, in case I want to make it a bit purtier. Some people prefer a zippered binder. These are GREAT if you can afford the dough for a LARGE one. This one is especially great as it has a handle for carrying. You'll also need some pocket pages . I prefer the 4-per-page pages. The pockets are a little bigger, which is GREAT for those LONG coupons (which stick out, so I fold them in half) and those WIDE coupons, and especially for holding more coupons than their miniature counterparts! Now others have had luck with other pages. They come in 1-pocket (also known as sheet protectors, which we'll be using as well- we'll get to that later), 2 pocket, 4-pocket, 5-pocket, 6-pocket, 8-pocket; 9-pocke t. Anything with more...
