I use a binder. Shock, huh? LOL... I have a binder full of sheet protectors. In each one I have a piece of coloured paper (just to make it look pretty), each page is a different store. It's basically my rebate folder, so the first page is my table of contents, the next is rebates in queue, then the stores in ABC order, categorised by type of store, then I have an "extras" page. That holds rec't for places I don't shop at often. Any rec't's for large purchases get stapled to the instruction manual & those are all kept in a file in my file cabinet.

I have been busy to the max lately! In the past week I have picked blackberries with the Elders & MIL, rinsed them several times and frozen them, made & canned cranberry juice, made and canned spaghetti sauce, finally gotten the pool water back under control (chemicals), cleaned out the garden, removed the "kitty cover," caged some tomato plants, suckered the tomato plants, pinched my basil plants, got the master closet cleaned out, been cleaning up the yard, been entertaining, started buying curriculum, let the boys get a hamster (he's so cute!), yada yada..... Oh I also finished that bathroom ceiling, which I don't think I posted pics of. I have SOOOOOO much to get caught up on. It's anough to drive a weak woman insane. I guess that makes me weak, LOL..... Kidding, of course. I still need to finish "rebuilding" the master closet, buy more curric ulum, pick more blackberries, make seedless blackberry jam, fix the bread box, have some wood cut, m...

In my office/school area: 1- Pens & pencils 2- Extra paper 3- Completed worksheets 4- Whiteout, scotch tape, paper clips & post-its In my kitchen: 5- Rubbermaid food storage containers 6- Bulk items like flour, sugar, rice, etc 7- Jars full of various baking items- brown sugar, lentils, baking soda, etc 8- At the drink station for spoon holders, long handles coffee spoons, etc 9- Cat food In the kids' room: 10- TOYS (duh!) 11- Clothes In the bathroom: 12- Hair clips, headbands, etc 13- Toiletries

1- Rubbermaids!!!! I have rubbermaids ALL over the house. In closets, under beds, in the garage, and in every room in the house 2- I keep a list of things in the pantry & freezers. My pantry is org'ed into categories like baking supplies, canned goods, noodles, etc 3- I use a LOT of binders. You can see a couple of mine here and here 4- I write lists. A.lot.of.lists. 5- My email accounts are categorised into different categories as well 6- My cleaning supplies are all together in a caddy, but each bathroom & the kitchen has a spray bottle of all-purpose cleaner as well. 7- I have a 6-slot hamper system. We bought 2 linen and metal hampers, each with 3 compartments. Clothes are separated into- bleachables; whites & lights; greys/khakis/and anything of those approximate shades; reds/brights/darks; linens- towels/sheets/blankets and last but not least- cleaning rags 8- I use small plastic baskets in drawers. What a beautiful day this is already shaping up to be! The hubby woke me with him this morning and we spent a very special morning together. I saw him off to work, and 2 of 3 kids are up and at'em. Hubby has ALL weekend off, a feat that hasn't been performed in a couple months! But what a busy weekend it will be. Tonight is our Film & Finger Food Friday. Every Friday we make a special dinner that we can eat on the living room floor & watch a movie. Rarely do we rent these. They are usually from the library or in our own personal collection (we have a few hundred movies!). Our meals range from chips & cheese, to massive spreads of what we like to call "Superbowl Nosh," to pizza (sometimes delivered, sometimes from frozen, sometimes from scratch), quesadillas, hot dogs, etc. It is such a great time and the boys love it. I pray it is a memory that I have instilled in them as we have been doing this for a couple of years on & off, but it has been EVERY Fr...

I finshed picking through the Elder's clothes and have completed wardrobes for each of them. I also worked a hefty bunch on the kitchen. A few before & after pics: I'll post more pics as I continue to purge, organise and take control!

My husband had an agenda planner while back that got stolen or went missing. I believe the latter as we haven't had any issues with unauthorised credit card purchases, etc. Regardless, he had been complaining about it being too small anyway (be careful what you wish for, LOL ). But in a hunt for a large one that holds the 8 1/2" X 11" papers, we realised it's just not in the budget. Then you h ave to g e t refills, etc. I was at Big Lots a week or 2 ago and I found a zippered binder, similar to the one posted in the Coupon Binder post , sans handle, f or a whopping 6 bucks. The ide a struck me to build a planner for my husband, cutting the cost to a FRACTION of a pre -made-store-bought one. As follows: This is the $6 zippered binder: It has a pocket on the front that has small elastic bands on the sides. I slid a manila folder in there for extra filing space. For my creative use of rubbermaid type containers and binders. *sigh* I admit, I should own stock, both in Rubbermaid and Avery. BUT I CAN'T HELP IT!!! It's an addiction...... *sigh* OK, so let me tell you about my other binder (one of the many "others"). My special occasions binder. I use this to store all of my greeting cards used for birthdays, anniversaries and holidays . Again, we start out with basic binder. A 1" in this case, but in the midst of revamping, I may need to go larger. First page is a list, done on a Microsoft Word Document. It is all of the birthdays in month order, followed by the anniversaries. Here is a screenshot. If it looks a little funny, I whited out the last names.
