Wordless Wednesday

Remember.....

YAY!!! My cabinet is finished (mostly)

YAY!!! I'm finished! I love it. I have a few more touch up things to do, but those can be done while it's still together and inside. I used a flat white and a terra cotta coloured primer. Found 2 new handles in one of our hardware boxes, which I may go back and paint the same terra cotta colour. The reddish looks sorta dark in this pic, so it IS a little brighter.

2 years!

WOW!!! I just realised that 6 days ago, I should've been celebrating my 2-year blogiversary. This has been a lot of fun, so here's to 2 more years!!!

YEEHAW!!! 1 BIG project 95% finished!!!

OK, befores and afters. Excuse the mess. I didn't think to take pics til I had already started moving and cleaning.... And here's a close up of the border. I have another project I'm working on (that cabinet). I made a decision and it ws neither of the choices I gave before. I'm hoping to post pics tomorrow!!!!!

Friday Feast

Appetizer Name a sound you like to hear. My children's laughter & giggles Soup What is your favorite kind of cheese? Provolone or Pepper Jack. I love cheese. I like cheddar and mozzie as well! Salad Do you sleep late on Saturday mornings? Why or why not? Not typically. Why? My kids don't get up any later than normal. Saturday's just another day around here. Main Course When was the last time you forgot something? What was it, and how long did it take to remember it? What are we talking about again? LOL... I have a tendency to forget what I'm doing around the house, project-wise. Happens everyday. Then Hubba comes home and I'm like "CRAP! I forgot to do such n such!" Dessert Fill in the blank: I notice My butt jiggles when I run *BIGsigh*

Opinions, please!

I'm painting and old cabinet. No, let me rephrase. It used to be a shoe cabinet, til I ripped out the rods with plans to install a shelf inside (which I did do a temp one). Today, I primered it and have the first light coat of white on top. It's going into our dark horrible kitchen, so I'm wanting something bright and "lightening." Now I've painted the top and since it's the first coat, I have somewhat of a primitive finish. Should I leave it as is or should I completely white it? I had it in my dining room, and it went fine in there colourwise, but I really could use the space (cabinet wise) in the kitchen. So with no further ado, the pics: Please, leave a comment with your choice & why! THNX!

Oooooo...... I've been tagged!

Miss Molly left a comment for me saying I'd been tagged. So I pop on over to her blog and here it is: The Rules: 1. Each player lists 8 random facts/habits about themselves 2. At the end of your blog you need to tag 8 people and post their names 3. Don’t forget to leave them a comment and tell them they’re tagged and to read your blog. I bite the skin around my nails. I decided about a week ago that I was going to quit. It's going so-so. BUT!!! I do not bite my nails I'd sleep til 10am every day if I could. But I can't and don't. I have piercings- naval, tragus, nose. I don't wear the nose ring. I dream of life in Montana I LOVE graham crackers dipped in melted milk chocolate I'm certified in Graphic Arts. That was a LONG time ago. I hate feet and other people's bodily fluids. So with no further ado, I tag anyone that reads this. Leave me a comment with your link and let me know!

Our camping trip

Well we ended up only staying one night. The temps dropped to the 30's and Hubba and I were literally up most of the night (me so more than him). The first day we got there, there were signs all over saying there was a campfire ban. So we were sorta bummed about it we weren't sure exactly what that meant. The signs said no fires except in "developed" sites. So we had to drive back down the mountain (about 15-20 mins ) to get a signal on our phones and started calling the ranger parks. We ne eded to be sure what "developed" meant. We called both county rangers. The first number wasn't answering, the second had been disconnected with no forwarding number to call. We calle d the sheriff's dept. They had no idea. They gave us 2 more numbers to call, one th at didn't answer and another that didn't know. And on and on. About 7 or 8 calls later, Hubba finally go t the act ual ranger on the phone. He checked to make sure nothing had changed ...

Tackle It Tuesday!

I decided to try the Tackle It Tuesday thing today! I've decided to hit the top of & next to my dryer. It seems I do this at least 1X a month, but alas, being near the back door and the only room guests don't typically see, it becomes a catchall. *sigh* So here goes nothin'! Before: So THIS is what a dryer looks like!?! After: Sky view, before & after: And next to the dryer, befores and afters:

Oh I'm so excited!

My garden groweth! Here are some new pics: Both boxes: Corn: Corn, a little better view: If you look towards the back, past the big green plant, you can see some small green babies. Those are my cuke plants. You should be able to click on each picture for a larger view: And here you can see my maters & jalapenos: I've also got a few carrots sprouting and am waiting im patiently for my bell peppers to sprout. I'm so psyched!!! God is wonderful. He has rained blessings upon us and our small garden. I pray he continues to do so!!! Edited to add- I also have basil coming up!
