There will be an abundance of new posts today!

So I'm posting this with a time stamp of midnight tonight, so all my wonderful readers will know to keep scrolling down, LOL!!!

What $1.31 can do!

It can make a 4 year old boy VERY happy!!! We went to Chinamart on Sunday. I found a Cars themed remnant for $1.31. I asked the gal in crafts if it was ok to open it so I could see what it looked like. She did. I said MINE! 1- 45"X14" remnant Cars fabric- $1.31 Stuffing & thread- Free, on hand My time- always The sight of him carrying it through the house, sharing it with his brother & the "thank you MOMMY"- PRICELESS!!!

New "Planters"

Last year we got some display cases. You know the types for die cast cars? We've stored them in the boys' room, thinking we'd use them one day for collectibles. Well, we've had them almost a year. They were taking up space. I decided to revamp them (Car collector's, close your eyes now!)..... The display case as it's "meant" to be: Drilling holes: Spray painting (roots don't fare well in/with light): The finished product: And with soil: TA-DA!!! My new planters!!! I flipped the bottoms over as well. They are a tray of their own making. Be sure if you do this, you don't get the ones with holes already in the bottoms.

Apple Cider Vinegar & other healthy choices

One of my fave new dietary changes!!! I've been taking 2t of ACV & 2t local honey in 1 cup water. I'm not going to get into all the details, but let's just say it is working WONDERS on my body. I have more energy, I'm... ahem.... regular all of a sudden, my skin is clearer, among other fantastic changes. I also started juicing on Thursday. While I haven't been as loyal with this, I know every little bit helps. Hey, one complete change at a time, right? I also have been noshing on raw veggies again- YUM!!! Back to drinking 90+ oz water again too. I was in such a slump, and decided that it was time to GET OUT OF IT!!!! On top of my dietary changes, I've also started to pray differently. I even asked for prayer from a group I like to call my friends!!! God is so good, as long as you believe, trust & try to understand (None of us have to understand, sometimes that's too hard for us humans, but trying opens a whole new world!!!). Have a blessed day. An update on sourdough.....

So I was trying a new recipe. It called for buttermilk. I thought EW, but decided to try it anyway. EW! was right & within 24 hours, the house started to smell like a baby's bottle left in a car on a summer's day for a week. Next time I try sans milk

Sourdough, HM bread- oh yum!

I started a new sourdough starter with a new recipe. Will report back in a few days. Also made my first loaf of HM bread in quite some time! Starting to feel so much better again- YAY!!! Will have to post about my new dietary changes as well soon!

Receipts Binder

I use a binder. Shock, huh? LOL... I have a binder full of sheet protectors. In each one I have a piece of coloured paper (just to make it look pretty), each page is a different store. It's basically my rebate folder, so the first page is my table of contents, the next is rebates in queue, then the stores in ABC order, categorised by type of store, then I have an "extras" page. That holds rec't for places I don't shop at often. Any rec't's for large purchases get stapled to the instruction manual & those are all kept in a file in my file cabinet.

Retrieving socks from behind the washer & dryer

I REALLY want one of those grabby thingies where you push a button on the handle end & the claws open & you can grab stuff that's hard to reach. I used to see them all the time in the Dollar Tree, but alas, now that I actually WANT one, they are nowhere to be found (affordably anyway). There were 2 socks behind the washer & dry. Actually there were 3, but I only SAW 2. What's a girl to do with no grabby thingie? *sigh* Hey! It worked!!!
