Today is the day....

....that the Lord hath made. I am glad, and I am re-JOY-cing in it!!! Today is one of those days. I am overwhelmed by the Holy Spirit working in my life. As I move boxes & furniture between rooms, I feel the strain on my muscles. The aches & pains which will soon ensue. I thank God for them. That I am able to do such work. That He has given me strength to get done what I need to do for my family and for HIM. He has graced me with patience & wisdom t oday. He has reminded me of His presence in my heart, my soul, my mind & my body. I am playing the music that I have here on my blog LOUDLY (My playlist is located at the bottom of the blog). It has filled my heart. I have wept today in JOY. I am reminded of the day I was baptised in the Holy Spirit & I find it hard to breathe, I feel a tightness in my throat as the tears form in my eyes. HE IS SO GOOD!!!!! I find myself pausing from my work to lift my hands in PRAISE to HIM. I pray you are in awe of our Lord today. I pr...

Prayers, changes, a score and other things....

THE SCORE I posted an ad on Craigslist asking for canning jars. I rec'd 3 responses before we found out we MAY be moving. Out.of.state. One was from a "woman" (I say woman because I googled her email name & came up with a lady on a dating website or the name on pages in foreign languages) who was so very evasive. She wouldn't even tell me how many jars she had, but in both of her emails she prompted me to call her & she'd "tell me how many she had," giving her phone number. I quickly deleted both emails after rec'ing the 2nd, very evasive one **creepy**. The other was for 400 jars **EEK**. I WANT them, but with the possible move (which I 'll get to), I'm holding off. I actually tried to get the other guy that said he has 80-100 to hold off, but when he said 8/$1 I was SOLD!!! Now granted, they are the Atlas jars, 24oz, from the Classico spaghetti sauce brand. He also had a box of lids & bands that were brand new. How can a jar-ad...

Apple Cider Vinegar & other healthy choices

One of my fave new dietary changes!!! I've been taking 2t of ACV & 2t local honey in 1 cup water. I'm not going to get into all the details, but let's just say it is working WONDERS on my body. I have more energy, I'm... ahem.... regular all of a sudden, my skin is clearer, among other fantastic changes. I also started juicing on Thursday. While I haven't been as loyal with this, I know every little bit helps. Hey, one complete change at a time, right? I also have been noshing on raw veggies again- YUM!!! Back to drinking 90+ oz water again too. I was in such a slump, and decided that it was time to GET OUT OF IT!!!! On top of my dietary changes, I've also started to pray differently. I even asked for prayer from a group I like to call my friends!!! God is so good, as long as you believe, trust & try to understand (None of us have to understand, sometimes that's too hard for us humans, but trying opens a whole new world!!!). Have a blessed day. Prayers from the Heart

As Keenan (3 years old) says before mealtimes: Gwod is gweat Gwod is Gwood Peeze bwess us And to do your will Inyoor nayme Jeez Cwist AaaaaMEN! ***************

A couple of prayer requests, please!

Joyce- She will be having surgery on Monday for colon cancer removal. She'll go in at 7:30 and they start at 8:30. After that, chemo, as almost always will ensue. Chellie & family- they were hit by a drunk driver on Sunday and though they are so blessed, they were hurt, and the 2 boys (5th grade age) are petrified of being in a car right now. Leslie- waiting on another test result. She's had some "praisful" good news so far, but we're praying for this last one. My FIL- has an infection, is on antibiotics, and he is getting better. We still worry about him. Thank you and God Bless you!

Been quite busy & debating.....

Life has been hectic lately. I am still deciding if this is the right place for me and am not sure when I'll be back to blog, if at all. There has been an awful lot of betrayal since I left a certain website along with rumours, accusations and plain old un-Christian acts. However, I am taking a higher road, and I am praying for those lost and hippocritical souls. Times like this you know who your true friends are and I thank those of you that are!

Can you smell that?

Spaghetti sauce, simmerin' away..... 3 quarts of applesauce sealed successfully. Right now I am eating a snack of popcorn. The boys are watching cartoons as they eat theirs. 20 pounds of apples left in the fridge outside, 6 jarred cakes to bake and spaghetti sauce to can as soon as it is finished simmering. My life is good. The only thing missing is my Hubba Bubba who is at work. I am currently on IM with a friend who's friend lost a good friend (did you follow all that?). If you would keep Nikki & company in your prayers, we'd all appreciate it. The lady died right in front of her husband, unexpectedly. What a shock. Remember how precious your loved ones are to you and tell them that often. Live like it's your last breath, ALWAYS! I'm not doing my 10 blessings today. I think within my previous words, you KNOW my blessings, and yes, today they would be repetitive. Be blessed! Live!

Quitting, breaking (or baking! LOL) bread & everything in between!

First of all, might I ask a small prayer favour of you. Hubba has decided to quit smoking. His last smoke was Friday evening before bed. As of 8 this morning, he still had not caved and stopped by any "quickie-marts." I, of all people close to him, know how hard this is. I was there a mere 7+ months ago (BIG PRAISE!). Onto bread...... I have the stuff in the bread machine for hamburger buns. I have made them by hand before and have fingers crossed that the machine can help me out with that, and actually turn uot nummy! I also have Mrs. Cat's French Bread Recipe rising on the counter. Dinner will be going into the crockpot as soon as I post this. Boneless country style pork ribs, smothered in BBQ sauce. Mashed taters to follow, green beans and of course, French bread. I think ramekins of applesauce on the side. Delish! Lunch will follow commencement of crockpot setup. We are having ramen and tofu & mixed veggies today. I haven't prepared tofu before but I keep re...

Prayer request please.....

If you would keep the Brown Family in your prayers, Mrs. Brown's mother passed away. Hubba rec'd a call at 10 til 7 this morning. Mr & Mrs Brown have been through sheer hell the past few weeks taking care of this woman.

A prayer request please!!!

My friend Faith has been at the hosp- ital with her son for a few days now. He's been diagnosed at age 6 with childhood diabetes. If you would PLEASE say a prayer for her and her son, I know she'd appreciate it!!!

A Praise, a Prayer Request & other things

I found out earlier that a friend of mine, that was afraid she may have sinus tumours, does not. I thank God to have spared my friend. I love her dearly! I also have a small prayer request. I am having a bit of trouble with an issue here lately. If you would just mention my name in prayer, He knows what it is I need/want. And this is more of a want issue. On to other things, strange night it is tonite. It's 12:18 EST and I am not asleep. I'm not in bed either. Obviously..... I kept hearing something on the back porch. Robby and I figured it was an animal. I finally fell asleep after checking a couple of times, only to be woken again by the same noise. Shortly after I awoke, I hear Keenan on the baby monitor. Just a slight fraction of a second fuss and then a minute later a cough. I felt something was not right, and kept thinking of all the times he's fallen off the bed. So I get up to check him..... Yup, he's on the floor. I place him back in his bed, I go upstairs to v...

Just wanted to add a prayer request!

I just spoke to my neighbor and they are packing up to go out of town. Her niece I believe it was was in a car accident last nite. Now the girl walked away from the accident with a scratch on her wrist, that's not the request. The witnesses said they lost count of how many time the car flipped and they said it went airborne and hit a tree. The car is totalled. They have know idea how she walked away from it. BUT since the accident was so horrible, they did all sorts of tests and scans on her to be sure she didn't have any internal injuries. Come to find out she has a tumour on her brain. Please keep her in your prayers, she is 16 years old! :-(

I had a thought

So DH and I are discussing and seriously considering (actually it's pretty much set in stone) joining the church we've been attending for a few months now. I am very excited. I have never been a member of a church. I have attended alot and have attended a few regularly, but never actually became an official part of the family. We had 2 ppl comment to us last week that we should join. We told them it was in the works. SO I had this thought, seeing as how I am a new HS'er that when we join, I'd like to talk to talk to Pastor Richard about starting a HS'ing group. What brought me to this was as we were sitting there waiting for the service to begin, we overheard a lady talking about HS'ing and we looked at each other and raised our eyebrows. Then it hit me today that, yes, we can and will be a part of the church but I know God has put me here for something. Mebbe this is it. What's the worst that happens? I try this and it falls thru? So this might just be my g...

Looking for the simpler way!

Well life has been hectic as usual. This past weekend, I was horribly sick. Had to take my Daddy to the ER, kids had fevers, blah blah blah.... I have just begun my trek to quit smoking... UGH! We have been taking the boys to VBS this week. Tonite is the last nite. It is the Family Night and the pizza party. The Elders have had a BLAST!!! The church we've been going to is GREAT and this is just another step in concreting that thought! I have been making my own laundry soap, and living as frugally as possible. Seems like nothing is helping lately though. We got our electric bill... HOLY BILLS BATMAN!!!! Will hafta try harder. I have not bumped the AC down today as I usually do. No fun there. It's muggy and I'm all glisten-y... ew..... Anyhoo.... Still searching for that simpler life. Hope you can too... GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!!!
