THE SCORE

I posted an ad on Craigslist asking for canning jars. I rec'd 3 responses before we found out we MAY be moving. Out.of.state. One was from a "woman" (I say woman because I googled her email name & came up with a lady on a dating website or the name on pages in foreign languages) who was so very evasive. She wouldn't even tell me how many jars she had, but in both of her emails she prompted me to call her & she'd "tell me how many she had," giving her phone number. I quickly deleted both emails after rec'ing the 2nd, very evasive one **creepy**. The other was for 400 jars **EEK**. I WANT them, but with the possible move (which I'll get to), I'm holding off. I actually tried to get the other guy that said he has 80-100 to hold off, but when he said 8/$1 I was SOLD!!! Now granted, they are the Atlas jars, 24oz, from the Classico spaghetti sauce brand. He also had a box of lids & bands that were brand new. How can a jar-addicted gal say no?!? So I met him at the Walgreens up the street & was already planning on handing him $15 even (a buck or 2 more than he had asked, since he'd made it more convenient by meeting me less than a mile from my home- he said he had to get some pics developed anyway). He had found a 2nd box of lids, so for $17 I got 94 Atlas jars, 1 qt sized Golden Harvest jar & 2 boxes of lids, both of those new!!!!!

The Changes & Prayers

Some of you know Hubba's been looking for a new job. For those that don't- Hubba's looking for a new job!!! LOL... He's got a VERY good prospect right now. We're praying for it & we have a lot of people praying for us. Which brings me to ask a prayer request of you. Please pray that it's in God's will that a door be opened and soon. I know that God is rarely early. I know that HE is never late. But as humans, we can't help but be impatient. We can't help but be driven bananas over the living in limbo. If he gets the job he's after now, it would require a move. The above mentioned move. To TX or WY. Most likely it will be TX. Actually the job is in Louisiana, but neither of us want to live where the job is located, so we'd be moving across the border. The homeschool laws in TX are GREAT too!!! I'm **hoping** we know something within the next week or two. I'll update as soon as we do.

Other Things

The garden is doing well for the most part. We have 3 tomatoes on one plant & one of those is getting SO big. I promise to take & post pics soon!!! I just ordered a grape plant & some seeds. I can't wait to get them!!!!

I've decided we'll be HS'ing through the summer this year, barring move time if that's what we end up doing. We're a little behind. But it's great because we've been able to stop & review what we don't understand!!! Well, that & I messed up & we did a few lessons twice **BLUSH** But it's ok!!! We'll get where we need to be before the start of a "new year." Not to mention, I'd PREFER to school year round, even though a bit more relaxed in the summer. So being a little behind is a GREAT excuse for me to keep them going a couple hours a day in the summer. Much.to.their.dismay. LOL!!!
