Joyce- She will be having surgery on Monday for colon cancer removal. She'll go in at 7:30 and they start at 8:30. After that, chemo, as almost always will ensue. Chellie & family- they were hit by a drunk driver on Sunday and though they are so blessed, they were hurt, and the 2 boys (5th grade age) are petrified of being in a car right now. Leslie- waiting on another test result. She's had some "praisful" good news so far, but we're praying for this last one. My FIL- has an infection, is on antibiotics, and he is getting better. We still worry about him. Thank you and God Bless you!

Looks like today is shaping up to be a beautiful day! We are forecasted with a high of 75º- woot woot! I had the kids do a couple of extra chores. They bagged up the trash from the swing set & emptied the litter box. I decided to do a little big project with the box. It measures about 7 or 8 feet long. I want to try and make a pirate ship for the birthday party. My original plan was to make a tunnel for them to play in, until it got so badly whacked out of shape that it became garbage fodder. Of course they are more excited about the pirate ship. Today I need to do a few more loads of laundry, clean floors and work with the boys on a new 3-week science project . We'll also be playing outside a bit. We have another chapter to read on George Washington, a book on weather and some math and English to work on. The people coming out to look at the roof will be here Thursday between 9 & 12N (so they say). Otherwise, dinner is thawing and my morning chores are finished. I have so...

Time for a "real" update, I'm sure. We had a fabulous Easter with family over for a ham dinner. An Easter egg hunt and a wonderful church service. Th is past weekend Hubba was sick all weekend. My parents came over with the boys' belated Easter gift (they were unable to get the one they wanted to get last weekend). Yes, one of those *shock* But they didn't get too much play on it yesterday as it was SNOWING!!! YES! Snowing.in Georgia.in April. *faintthud* I have somewhat of a partime, temp, work from home job. YAY! I'll be doing some data entry work for R's workplace (Doggone I have a sexy boss, *giggle*). It'll be nice to do something to help out on the monetary homefront and not sacrifice the kids' time or education. Otherwise today's daily work will consist of LOTS of laundry, cleaning out the laundry room (it's a wreck!) and doing some baking and mix-making in the kitchen. I've been without internet since late Wednesday evening. I apologise for not responding to emails and for not getting the comments moderated til now. Since a couple weeks ago, when everyone started getting sick, I've been on a downward spiral on the house. Sick, yard sale prep, yard sale, prepping for Easter dinner, prepping for Tristen's party, allergies, and now we're all sick again with this drastic change in the weather. 1- Rubbermaids!!!! I have rubbermaids ALL over the house. In closets, under beds, in the garage, and in every room in the house 2- I keep a list of things in the pantry & freezers. My pantry is org'ed into categories like baking supplies, canned goods, noodles, etc 3- I use a LOT of binders. You can see a couple of mine here and here 4- I write lists. A.lot.of.lists. 5- My email accounts are categorised into different categories as well 6- My cleaning supplies are all together in a caddy, but each bathroom & the kitchen has a spray bottle of all-purpose cleaner as well. 7- I have a 6-slot hamper system. We bought 2 linen and metal hampers, each with 3 compartments. Clothes are separated into- bleachables; whites & lights; greys/khakis/and anything of those approximate shades; reds/brights/darks; linens- towels/sheets/blankets and last but not least- cleaning rags 8- I use small plastic baskets in drawers. LOL..... Meredith wrote awhile back about purchasing Hunt's Organic Pasta Sauce for $1 a can . I was able to purchase some cans from Big Lots for ONLY 70¢ a can. I was so excited when I saw it in the ad. I bought 10. I'm not crazy about store bought sauce, but I figure it'll be great for pizzas or the emergency meal when I run out of my own sauce. So if you have a Big Lots near you, run, don't walk, to it and pick up some for your pantry. The sale ends when supplies run out or at the end of the week. I only left about 6 on the shelf! (Sorry, Mer, I had to, LOL).....
