I decided that keeping my list in the sidebar was going to be a daunting & messy task. Not to mention, what if someone wants to comment on my 1000 gifts? Oh me, oh my, the choices...... So I decided to trade in a sidebar list for a proper blog entry list and link it in the sidebar. I will just be redoing this particular list, keeping the date ahead of time, so it will continue to be at the top through CHRISTmas. For any NEW stuff, look just past this entry! As time is so short right now. But I logged on to check my emails and sat in awe and dropped jaw that I am a weiner... ahem- WINNER! Miss Susan held a lovely little (and very easy) contest for a 3 month sub to Dine Without Whine . THANK YOU Susan! And once again, Merry CHRISTmas my friends!

OK, wow!!! I am so excited. I attempted gingerbread this year. I have NEVER made the dough, much less made a house of it!!! But since I promised the boys, I upheld that promise and came up with the following. It is made from scratch other than the snowman (he came off a candy cane) and is 100% edible. I think it turned out great for being a rookie! LOL Otherwise, I want to wish all of you a safe and Merry CHRISTmas!!!

Tonight we started our annual 7 days til CHRISTmas countdown. What I do is I purchase small gifts at dollar type stores and wrap them, 21 total these days, 1 for each child each night until CHRISTmas. Sometimes it's hot wheels cars, other small vehicles, knock off GIJoes, play-doh, etc. They have so much fun opening them and look forward to awakening CHRISTmas morning to sing Happy Birthday to Jesus. And today I'm ok with that! After the weekend our family had, I am blessed to wake this Monday and to FEEL that blessing. When was the last time you counted your blessing s? Don't wait for something drastic to count them. Count them ALL, no matter how small. I know I seem to harp on that, but it is soooo the truth. For every large problem, there are literally hundreds, if not thousands of little blessings. Begin counting them today! Today is my day to work on the kitchen. I will definitely be using my HKB (home keeping binder) to clean this week as we have a family coming over on CHRISTmas day, including one set of my In-laws from out of town. I will make yoohoo, gatorade's, orange juice, and a sugar free drink for myself. Tomorrow is trash day, so I'll also need to dump any science experiments into a bag. Another blessed & busy day! Today I have thus far cranked out a loaf of PB bread; a batch (12) of Oatmeal, Raisin, Apple Muffins; Taco Flavour Lentils n Rice with broccoli for lunch. We made toast of that YUMMY raisin loaf from yesterday. I have done several reps of various exercises today so amd feeling a bit wobbly in the legs as well. I WILL get that white bread rising as soon as I post this. Friday I am going grocery shopping. So many GREAT deals on meats and baking supplies. I look forward to stocking up on a few items. This Saturday is the annual CHRISTmas party on Hubba's side of the family. I really don't look forward to these, but I do love my Mother-in-law, and I also know with Hubba's Grandmother (Mamaa) getting up there in age....... so I swallow the lump in my throat and go with a smile. First of all, might I ask a small prayer favour of you. Hubba has decided to quit smoking. His last smoke was Friday evening before bed. As of 8 this morning, he still had not caved and stopped by any "quickie-marts." I, of all people close to him, know how hard this is. I was there a mere 7+ months ago (BIG PRAISE!). Onto bread...... I have the stuff in the bread machine for hamburger buns. I have made them by hand before and have fingers crossed that the machine can help me out with that, and actually turn uot nummy! I also have Mrs. Cat's French Bread Recipe rising on the counter. Dinner will be going into the crockpot as soon as I post this. Boneless country style pork ribs, smothered in BBQ sauce. Mashed taters to follow, green beans and of course, French bread. I think ramekins of applesauce on the side. Delish! Lunch will follow commencement of crockpot setup.
