Strawberries, Dinner and Chris Tomlin

What a past couple of weeks this has been! Last week the darling hubster flew to VA for a company meeting. He was gone 1 night, 2 days and BOY! Did we miss him terribly. This past week he went to Marianna, FL and was gone 3 days, 2 nights. That was odd. We haven't been apart like that since he trained for 2 weeks back in August 2004. The 3rd day and I was feeling his absence BAD! *pout*

BUT, on a lighter note, a few good things came within his absence. I stepped on the scale..... Image and video hosting by TinyPic OK, so NOT good, BUT, I've decided I NEED TO DROP A FEW POUNDS!!! OK, MORE than a FEW! I joined Spark People sometime last year and then after poking on a time or 3, finally forgot about it. *blushblush* So in an atempt at some calorie-burning, the boys and I cranked up some tunes and MAD-DANCED around the house (like a bunch of bloody fools!) and in turn burned just under 100 cals per 10 minutes! But the best part...... we had a BLAST! Image and video hosting by TinyPic
So today we had a wonderful family outing. A FULL day, whew doggie. Had fun, but glad to be home in pj's. *giggle*

First we went and picked strawberries. Find a grower near you.

We stopped by one of our local grocers on the way home where I scored on pkgs hot dogs at 50¢ a pack, some bacon for $1.78 a pound (a rare treat for the Hubster!!!), bnls-sknls chicken breast at $1.78/lb and some ground chuck for the same. Cukes for 3/$1, peaches 98¢/lb, vidalias for 48¢/lb and some 12-pk RC Colas for $1.78 each. Among a few other things that I'm currently drawing a blank on.....

On home the Hubster and I gussied up (hehe) for a night on the town. No, not really. We met with 2 men that approached the Hubster a couple months ago with a job proposition. He had an "interview" be that as it may. They want him. Period. Period. Period. But then they asked to meet with me. They say that they believe the spouse should be on board with what is going on. They wanted me to meet them and feel comfortable with them, with the proposition and to be able to ask and have answered, any questions of my own. My one and only question? Are you closed on Easter, CHRISTmas and Thanksgiving? Yes? OK, we can talk.... LOL Well they took us to dinner at the fantabulous Brookwood Grill where I enjoyed the Wood Grilled Chicken sans the pineapple relish. I am asking a small prayer in this venture that things go as God's plan and that God's plan is something we can accept.

Whilst enjoying dinner we met one of the guys' daughters. She happened to be there with her "boyfriend ." I quotation boyfriend as I'm not positive to their relationship, but I believe it is as titled. Exciting stuff.

The much requested COUPON BINDER! A how-to pictorial

First you start with a LARGE 3-ring binder . I was able to get about a dozen of these for 50-75¢ each at a thrift shoppe, brand new. Mine are from a business complete with logo, but that's ok. 50-75¢ sure beats 8 bucks at Wal-mart. Plus mine DOES have a front pocket, in case I want to make it a bit purtier. Some people prefer a zippered binder. These are GREAT if you can afford the dough for a LARGE one. This one is especially great as it has a handle for carrying. You'll also need some pocket pages . I prefer the 4-per-page pages. The pockets are a little bigger, which is GREAT for those LONG coupons (which stick out, so I fold them in half) and those WIDE coupons, and especially for holding more coupons than their miniature counterparts! Now others have had luck with other pages. They come in 1-pocket (also known as sheet protectors, which we'll be using as well- we'll get to that later), 2 pocket, 4-pocket, 5-pocket, 6-pocket, 8-pocket; 9-pocke t. Anything with more...

I've moved!!!

In order to simplify, I'll be getting rid of most of my blogs & just downsizing my internet network. We've made a move that you can read about at my new blog, but suffice to say- we're beginning a new life, in a new state, new job, etc. So if you want to hear more about it, Meet me in Wyoming . Don't forget to update your bookmarks!!!
