My Angel!

This is a slightly blurry pic of the angel Miss Leslie made for me. The pics using the flash turned out so washed out looking. But here is my beautimous angel that has a home in my living room now!

Shortcomings

Why is it you mention something ONE time in over a year and you get accused of harping on it? People revel in blaming their shortcomings on others. I just don't get it. Too many hippocrites, so little time. I'm not one to keep my mouth shut, and it seems that all the lowlifes love that. On top of that, Mother Nature has endowed her wicked ways upon me again. And it is horrible this go round. A week early. This morning I awoke to doubling over pains. So it's LO skabetty tonite and if they don't like it, o well! LOL And I've noticed that on your worst days, the kids are at their worst! So needless to say, I have posted an auction on ebay for them to be hauled off. Free shipping. And I got the sweetest pkg in the mail today. Leslie sent me a box with a GORGEOUS handmade grapevine angel in it and a box of jujubes. Inside joke on the candy. But the card she sent along said that she likes her angels to watch over the special ppl in her life. Such a sweetie! I also got ...

Don't know whether to cry, vomit or both! >:(

Judge Rules Pledge of Allegiance UnconstitutionalBy Melanie HunterCNSNews.com Senior EditorSeptember 14, 2005(2nd Add: Includes comments from Americans United for Separation of Church and State.)(CNSNews.com) - A federal judge in California Wednesday ruled that reciting the Pledge of Allegiance in public schools is unconstitutional. The case was brought by two families represented by Michael Newdow, an atheist whose case before the U.S. Supreme Court was thrown out because it was brought on his daughter's behalf and he did not have custody of her. In his ruling, U.S. District Judge Lawrence Karlton said the words "under God" violate the right of school children to be "free from a coercive requirement to affirm God." According to the Associated Press, Karlton said he was bound by precedent of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, which ruled in favor of Newdow in 2002. Conservatives were quick to condemn the ruling. "This is an extraordinary and blatant displa...

Another one!

So last week my poor little Kindergartener was sick. Today it's Sebastion. He is on the couch a bundle of sniffles. The poor baby! And Keenan is Mr. Crabs today so I imagine he is on the downward spiral to illness as well! I don't think I'm too well either. Really tired, sorta dragging and just blah. I am so emotional today. Crying over everything. I think I'm PMS'ing, but I'm a week early! Was having hot flashes the last 2 days so I'm wondering about menopause and YES it CAN happen to younger ppl. Not very common but as young as 25 sometimes. *sighs* So we've had a couple of issues with Tristen's school and his teacher, or as Robert likes to call her "the twit." She's apparently moving his clip for "not using kind words." These "unkind words" were "I don't like you" spoken very matter of factly to a little girl in his class. When DH spoke to the teacher y-day she said he got in trouble cuz it hurt her ...

Thanking the Lord!

I have been trying this for quite some time and have never remembered first thing in the morning (of course remembering my name first thing in the morning is an accomplishment). But no more than my feet hit the ground than I thanked God for the beautiful day ahead of me. Usually I'm into my 2nd cuppa coffee before I think about praying. I know..... not good! So anyhoo..... I am thankful that today (tho it may not happen again for awhile) is a start. God Bless!

Practise!

Today my 5yo is home with a horrible cough. Not bad enough to dampen his spirits, though. I was up at 1 o'clock in the morning setting up a bed on the couch for him as he was coughing so bad he was crying. He had woken both of his brothers up, so I poured some meds down his gullet and put him on the couch to sleep. So this morning we kept him home from school as he was still a little cough-y and hadn't slept very well. So he's doing some pages out of our workbooks that we had before he started school. SO in essence I am practising HS'ing BOTH of them at once. I love it. The house is so quiet except for the occasional turning of a page and a cough ( :( ) and Tris talking to himself about his colours and letters. I was able to kiss DH off to work this morning. The weather has been AWESOME!!! Keenan is down for a nap, the kitchen is clean, clothes are folded and put away, the sweet smell of Downy is wafting up the stairs as more clothes wash and dry, the bed is made, dishw...

Clean Laundry is a virtue

One which I obviously don't have! I am fanatically working to get it done today. And to think I just did a laundry-athon the weekend before this past and have been doing a load or 2 every other day. I keep telling the fam to start going nekkid. But you know kids and hubby's. They never listen. LOL.... So anyhoo.... Seb and I started working on division today and he's quite the little wiz. He's a SPONGE. He sucks up EVERYTHING you teach him when it comes to schoolwork. Now if only we can work on his memory, we'd have it made! We had a wonderful weekend. Food, Family and fun. As usual, when we have visitors, I eat waaaayyy toooooo muuuuuch!!!! Marinated London Broil, with a marinade I concocted myself and would love to share with you...... STEAK MARINADE 1/4 cup oil (i used veggie) 1/4 cup worcestershire sauce 1-2 Tablespoons red wine vinegar 1 Tablespoon seasoned meat tenderizer 1 teaspoon onion powder 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon salt 1/8 teaspoon pepper --...
