Well my "baby" is officially no longer a baby. He turned 2 on Thursday, the 26th and we had a birthday party for him on Saturday. We did a rubber ducky theme. It was so sweet. He got a Radio Flyer tricycle, some books, a potty chair, a booster chair for the dining table, a Wiggles guitar, plastic wheelbarrow, clothing, a few other odds~n~ends. He had a blast, and loved the cake as you can tell by the pics!

Church was, in a word, amazing this morning. The following verses were read by a member of the church. The sermon was also based off of the same verses. The sermon was "How do you relate to Jesus?" The pastor wanted each of us to take a look at our relationships with Jesus and ask ourselves, "Do I see Jesus? If not, maybe I don't have a relationship with him. I need to look behind me as well. Do I see Jesus there? If I do, I really need to work on my relationship with Jesus. Jesus should always be ahead and I should follow." 1 Samuel 3:1-10 (King James Version) 1And the child Samuel ministered unto the LORD before Eli. Last nite we had a bit of canned fruit leftover from dinner (I made pancakes, bacon, eggs and canned fruit). Rather than stick it in the refrigerator and HOPE it gets eaten, I decided to whiz it around the mini handy chopper, mix it with apple juice and make popsicles. The boys LOVE LOVE LOVE Mom's homemade popsicles. And these were no different.

We are in the beginning of another week. HS'ing to commence again soon. Life is still slowly getting back to normal. I called the parents yesterday to remind them of Keenan's birthday party. Hard to believe my "baby" is going to be 2 soon. Hopefully we won't have an ice storm on his party day like we did last year! On another note, I have decided to put my knowledge (little as that might be) and start a Yahoo group. It looks so strange! I can'r believe we are in another year already. Today I wanted to share a frugal recipe. Homemade Yoohoo: This is so simple it's dangerous! LOLMix up a batch of dry milk. Add chocolate syrup OR chocolate powder to taste. Shake and chill, shake some more (treat it just as you would reg batch of reconstituted milk) and serve.

What a hectic past 2 months it has been. I am soooo sorry to those of you that have been checking and haven't seen anything new. As with most of you, I'm sure, it has been a tremendously BUSY Holiday season. My holidays (The word holiday is based on the words holy and day -, holidays originally represented special religious days.) include both Thanksgiving AND CHRISTmas. So Keenan got over his bout of pneumonia. No more than 2 weeks later I had Robert in the doc’s office with the same. So, he was given AB’s, cough meds and an excuse from work. We had planned on leaving to go to his Dad’s house the Sunday before Thanksgiving as soon as we got out of church. Well….. that didn’t happen. Since he had been sick and we weren’t sure who else might get it, we held off til Tuesday. The ONLY reason we went was that my FIL insisted. The man is getting up there in age and we all know it. He has been ill lately as well and I was petrified we’d infect him with SOMEthing and put the man on ...
